Vietti’s Barolo ‘Castiglione’ is one of Italy’s greatest Barolos. Aged 30 months in barrique and large barrel. Wild and exotic, ample and voluptuous. The 2017 is a wine of considerable weight hidden behind a wall of tannin. Give it a few years to soften or open it well in advance. Time brings out surprising finesse and elegance.
