This company was founded in Bolzano in 1925 by Alfons Loacker, and initially it was a pastry shop that was involved in producing chocolate and wafers through a family business. At the end of the 1950s, the founder's children entered the family business, and when Alfons died in 1970, this company had left its family footprints becoming a real industrial reality. Following the limited space, in 1974 the company was transferred to Renon at the Municipality of Auna di Sotto, which however was a much more uncomfortable area than Bolzano even if it could give a much healthier air that would certainly have had its benefits on the products put on the market. In addition to these factories there are others including one located in the Austrian Tyrol, and Loacker also has seven Loacker St. The company nowadays successfully sells its products, among which wafers and chocolate continue to emerge. These products are successful not only in Italy but in every country in the world. The Loacker logo shows the shape of the Sciliar, which is a natural symbol of the region and also the image of South Tyrol. Every day, within this company, many tons of toasted hazelnuts are processed, counting that in 2019 about 97. 957 million pieces were manufactured, 70% of which were sold on the national territory and 30% were exported to abroad. The countries that consume the most of Loacker products are Italy, Saudi Arabia and Australia.
