Description

Born from the blend of the three native white grape varieties par excellence of the Itria Valley: 60% Verdeca, 35% Bianco d'Alessano and 5% Minutolo. The Antico is a PDO white wine produced by local farmers for thousands of years. As the name suggests, it is vinified according to tradition: the training system is the sapling one, the three grape varieties are combined in the pre-established quantities from the planting, then they are treated, harvested, de-stemmed and vinified together following the most modern wine making techniques. It is an ancient technique that requires great experience as the grapes are harvested together despite having different ripening periods, this procedure allows to obtain an extraordinarily balanced wine. The Antico has a straw yellow color with light greenish reflections characterized by fruity scents, with a dry and full taste, which lasts for a long time in the mouth. Wine that is drunk young, excellent as an aperitif, very suitable for pairing with dishes based on fish, shellfish and seafood.
