Description

Susumaniello is one of the most important indigenous vines of the Brindisi area. The VersoSud is a masterfully worked pure Susumaniello: it ages the first ten months in steel and the following six months in French oak barrels. The name VersoSud is inspired by the position in which the vineyards from which Susumaniello is produced are located, located in the southernmost part of the Itria Valley and on our estate, near the Torre Guaceto nature reserve. It has an intense and brilliant ruby red color, with violet reflections. The nose is superb: notes of ripe plum, berries, blackberry, cherry, sweet toasted notes, vanilla and a light sprinkling of spices blend into a full and rich perfume. The taste is harmonious, fresh and fruity. It is a structured wine, of great intensity and gustatory persistence. Contact with wood gives the wine softness, while respecting its delicate and pleasant tannins. Versosud wine should be paired with important first courses such as lasagna or pasta with meat sauce, grilled meat or aged cheeses.
